Joining the "Society of Midwives of South Africa" allows a member to be part of a dynamic society of professionals taking the lead in peri-natal care in South Africa and some of the benefits include:

• Free newsletter
• Reduced cost in registration fees of Annual Midwives Congress
• Invitations to events and congresses
• The privilege to be elected by the national committee for support to     international events

Membership is payable annually and must be paid by no later than 30^th July (extended from our normal deadline of April) of each year. Membership fees can be paid via the national office or provincial offices. Membership fees will be accepted at the Annual Midwives Congress for the FOLLOWING year. Each person will be issued with a membership card (if ordered) and a receipt.
